New Moon in Taurus

After a period of chaotic shifts and changes, the skies are finally providing a moment of stillness, allowing for the energies to settle, courtesy of a New Moon in Taurus, at 28° (4:53pm BST).

As the first lunation since Eclipse Season began, consider this an opportunity to pause and reflect on what may have awoken in you since April 20th.

Adding some much needed clarity to the moment will be Mercury, having stationed direct merely days before, on May 15th, after its considerable retrograde period. Whilst it will still spend the latter part of the month regaining speed, its sojourn back through the degrees of Taurus might have notably shifted your perspective on matters in ways you’re only just realising.

In fact, the past few weeks may have had you reconsidering what you want the path ahead to actually look like. Images may have come under construction. Ideas may have shape shifted daily. And at times, you may have felt the discombobulation of trying to put your life together with nothing but flat-packed furniture instructions.

Yet during this lunation, Mercury will conjunct both the North Node and Jupiter, all in Taurus, asking if you’ve finally landed on a spot. If you’ve integrated the insights and come to an understanding. Of who you are in this moment and how you want your life to be.

Caught in a tense t-square involving Pluto in Aquarius and Mars in Cancer, this may feel like a pressure point, leading either to a breakdown, or a breakthrough, depending on how ready you are to take a transformational leap forward.

With both Pluto and Jupiter being at a critical 0° of their respective signs, this will be an opportunity for radical self-expansion. But only if you have the willingness to entirely release what has gone before, in order to make space for what is yet to come. Even if you don’t know what that is yet.

And whilst stepping into the unknown may understandably raise some fears and insecurities, especially around matters of self-worth and security, the question will be, as to whether you have the courage to lean into the discomfort in order to investigate its origin. Asking what lays at the root. What keeps you playing small. What you need to set free - perhaps it’s yourself.

This journey beneath the surface will require a certain level of emotional mastery, something which Mars, at 29° Cancer, will be assisting you with, as it actively encourages you to develop true power and security from within. Shifting you away from relying on external structures of support, to internal stability.

Additional support for this process will come via a trine to Neptune in Pisces, connecting you to your intuition and higher guidance, providing you have the faith to trust it. Can you allow for a bigger picture perspective when it comes to your life. Can you begin to look at things differently.

Sextile the Moon, conjunct both the Sun and Uranus, nothing changes unless you do. Thus, can you accept that it’s the internal shifts which will create the external ones. Therefore, whatever you wish for, whatever the vision, the longing, the desire, can you commit to doing the inner work required, in order to align with it.

Come October 28th, at the Full Moon/Partial Lunar Eclipse at 5° Taurus, the final of the season, what you have stood for, what you have cleared, what you have believed in, will become clear.
