Full Moon in Sagittarius

On June 4th, at 4:41am BST, the Moon will reach a peak point of illumination in the sky, at 13° Sagittarius, bringing a period of deep introspection - which began with the New Moon (at 1° Sagittarius) on November 23rd, 2022 - to a close.

Yet this lunation may come to ask more questions than it answers.

Thanks in part to a particularly weighty grand cross, involving retrograde Pluto, which will be situated at a critical 0° Aquarius (before shifting back into Capricorn around June 11th), squaring both Jupiter and the Lunar Nodes, and opposing a Venus-Mars conjunction.

So, let’s just say that it would be unlikely to not feel a rumble from within.

Jupiter, fresh from its recent transition into Taurus, will be conjunct the North Node, asking you to consider where you’re heading and what you may need to expand, or lean into, in order to move life forward in your chosen direction.

Whilst in opposition, the Scorpio South Node, along with a square to its ruler Pluto, will push you to contemplate as to what, if anything, you’re holding on to, which may be holding you back. Are you willing to release your attachment, in order to fully liberate yourself.

With Venus in Cancer conjunct Mars in Leo, this will be a potent time for speaking your truth, by leaning courageously into authentic self-expression. Thus, can you own and embody who you truly are. In every moment. At every stage of your evolution. Can you accept all the parts of yourself…even the ones in progress.

This may feel challenging, as you come to face any aspects of yourself that have been neglected. Any needs which have gone unacknowledged and unmet.

Yet this lunation is pushing you to sit with the discomfort. Asking you to consider as to where you may need to start putting yourself first and how you can best take care of yourself and your own needs. In the understanding that it’s not selfish, it is in fact an act of self-love.

However, as Chiron in Aries will be square the Venus-Mars conjunction, it’s only natural that these considerations may poke and prod at your most personal and sensitive spots. As the inherited ancestral wounds that have, consciously or not, come to define your sense of self-worth, belonging, and right to care, are painfully pulled forth for processing.

The question is, do you have the willingness to face the darkest aspects of your deepest wounds and come to separate the core of who you are, from the nurture - or lack thereof - that has come to shape it.

In fact, with Mercury conjunct Uranus trining Pluto, you might just find this to be the moment that empowers you to finally change the narrative. Shifting your perspective in order to see yourself and life more clearly. Allowing you to redefine your worth on your own terms.

And with the Moon in Sagittarius caught in a t-square, opposing the Sun in Gemini and squaring Saturn in Pisces, you will be reminded of the need to commit to continually doing this work. This inner work. Of unpacking internal baggage. Healing wounds. And letting go. Over and over again.

For it’s not until you are willing to fully embrace and express the truth of who you are, that you are truly free. And it is your pursuit of freedom which is your service to the world. That, above all else, is what this Full Moon will come to teach.
