Full Moon in Leo
On January 19th 2024, the Sun and Pluto came into unison at a critical 29º Capricorn - a meeting place which they will never return to within our lifetime.
It was a significant moment - the completion of a journey which began all the way back in 2008.
The Sun, momentarily lingering, chose to take one last look across the horizon, highlighting as it did so, any power imbalances still at play.
Transitioning into Aquarius on January 20th, the Sun and Pluto embarked upon a new journey, one which will last for over twenty years.
And whilst Pluto is due to make one last brief return into Capricorn on September 2nd until November 20th, the shift of power - from external to internal, governmental to collective - has well and truly been initiated.
Although, it may take a few decades to cement, so you may do well to prepare for the long road ahead.
Putting fuel in the tank will be a Full Moon at 5º Leo, occurring on January 25th (5:53pm). Drawing to a close a cycle which began way back when in August 2023 - with the Venus cazimi (13th) and the New Moon in Leo (16th) - this lunation is asking if you’ve integrated and healed the wounded parts of yourself, in order for you to show up fully, wholly, for the work that’s about to be required.
Caught in a tense t-square - opposing the Sun-Pluto conjunction and squaring Jupiter in Taurus - this lunation is pushing you to embody the most authentic version of yourself in a world that does not yet support it. In the understanding that by merely choosing to be who you truly are, your very existence becomes an act of rebellion, capable of shifting the societal paradigm.
Something which may not be an easy feat, especially if you have been indoctrinated into conformity or if your self-worth has been tied to your ability to perform.
As Saturn in Pisces and Venus in Capricorn will be forming a yod to the Moon, the tension that arises may result in a breaking open, as you do away with past ways of being, in order to simply just BE, as you are, naturally, inherently, instinctually. Without constraint. Without question. Without shame.
In addition, the Lunar Nodes and Chiron - on the Aries-Libra axis - will be squaring a Mercury-Mars conjunction in Capricorn, further emphasising the need to be your own authority. Thus, can you develop the courage to carve your own unique groove and learn to value your own opinion, over those of others.
Ultimately, this lunation wishes to teach you that your life’s greatest work is to be yourself.
