New Moon in Aquarius

When the Earth shakes, do you break open or break down. Do your relationships grow stronger, or grow apart. Do you stand by your beliefs, or abandon your faith altogether.

If you’re unsure of the answers, then the New Moon at 20º Aquarius, on February 9th 2024 (10:58pm GMT), may just bring you the clarity you need.

As the first lunation in Aquarius since Pluto transitioned into the sign, the energy at play will be potent, but potentially unpredictable and unstable, thanks in part to an activated Uranus in Taurus.

Thus, it’s likely that the days leading up to and the days following may feel dense and challenging to navigate.

However, incredible breakthroughs are more than possible at this time, but you may have to accept that they come through the breaking: of old structures, relationship dynamics, or your sense of reality.

So, the question is, are you prepared to embrace chaos if it serves you clarity. Are you willing to surrender in the name of change. Can you endure the cracks if it means cracking open.

And can you practise what you preach. As faith in spiritual notions founded in times of ease, will be put to the test in this time of potential crisis.

As such, conversations held during this time are likely to be imbued with a certain level of intensity, as Mercury’s conjunction to Pluto - exact on February 5th - has a revelatory effect, bringing hidden truths to light, which may prove to be confronting.

Thus, are you prepared to dig beneath the surface to the root of an issue. And in doing so, are you open to accepting a new perspective on old matters.

If not, then this may feel like a period of disillusionment, whereby you rigidly cling to an idea of how things are, or how you’d like them to be, for fear of letting go and acknowledging the reality of how it actually is.

Yet this lunation is pushing you to do just that: let go. Something which may feel destabilising, especially if you’ve held on to certain narratives for some time.

With the Lunar Nodes activated during this time, along with Chiron in Aries - coming into an exact conjunction with the North Node on February 11th at 16º - it’s time to move on from the past and embrace a new beginning, by releasing yourself from that which binds you.

Wounds inclusive.

In the process of liberation - with Venus and Mars in Capricorn additionally conjunct Pluto - your relationship dynamics may come under scrutiny, as you clarify which are aligned and which require restructuring. Can you utilise this time to determine where the boundary lies between your own individualistic needs and those of the partnerships in question and readdress the balance where necessary.

Ultimately, this New Moon is asking you to lean into; doing things differently to how they’ve always been done; seeing things clearly, as they truly are, not simply how you’ve desired them to be; change as a constant.
