Pluto Retrograde + New Moon in Taurus

Just as the energies were beginning to gently shift forward after a long, sticky period, Pluto - in its infinite wisdom - decided to station retrograde at 2º Aquarius on May 2nd, calling for one last and final inspection, before it commits to its twenty year sojourn through the sign.

Transitioning back through the early degrees of Aquarius over the next several months, Pluto will eventually go on to revisit the energetic field of Capricorn, from September 1st until it stations direct at 29º on October 12th.

During which time, you will be called to consider what the vision for your future actually is. And thus in turn, as to whether you are presently in alignment with it.

If you find that where you are feels somewhat incongruent with where you’d ideally like to be, then this period of time may be one spent reflecting on the reasons why.

Delving into the depths of your subconscious, Pluto will assist in offering you insight and clarification on matters by bringing fears, insecurities, and unconscious aspects of yourself to the surface, so as to show you exactly what is in need of changing, removing, or resolving, in order for you to come into alignment and move forward in life, unencumbered.

Whilst this may feel challenging - as you are confronted by that which you have, perhaps until now, been in denial of - consider this an opportunity to clear out the clutter on a soul level. Freeing you from ancient detritus, in order to make space - mentally, emotionally, and energetically - for something altogether new.

As this will be Pluto’s last transit through Capricorn for 250 years(!), it’s somewhat essential for the sake of your own evolution and growth that you commit to doing this work.

If this feels like an overwhelming task, know that support is at hand, courtesy of a New Moon in Taurus at 18º, occurring on May 8th (4:21amBST), which will initiate a new lunar cycle that will permeate throughout this retrograde period, until the Moon reaches a point of fullness as 24º Taurus on November 15th.

Here you are called to slow down and tune in, with the Universe asking that you find comfort in stillness, after what has been a long period of supercharged, hyper-activity, due to the dominance of Aries energy of late. Whilst this may feel like a sudden gear change, can you embrace this energy by utilising it to rest and recharge.

If you’ve found yourself ‘doing’ a lot recently, this may be a time when you’re called to learn how to simply ‘be.’ To be with yourself. With your thoughts. With your feelings. Without the need for distraction. Can you return to the SELF. Can you connect in with what it means to be alive. To be embodied. To hear the whispers of your soul long before it feels compelled to shout.

Can you discern what needs more nourishment and in what form that takes. See where aspects of yourself and life may have fallen out of balance. Acknowledge what evokes feelings of anger and aggression to rise from the depths of yourself.

With Uranus activated under this lunation, you may find that the ground beneath you shakes, in order for the truth - that lays hidden beneath the surface - to emerge. If you’ve been asleep to yourself, these revelations may come as a sudden shock, making you feel unstable and, perhaps, even unsafe. Yet what is revealed now is necessary information, offering you the opportunity to see things as they are, not merely as you wish them to be.

With Jupiter additionally in on the action, forming a conjunction still to Uranus, you’re being encouraged to expand your life as a way to expand your consciousness. Thus, can you break free from the norm, from the routine, from the familiar, and awaken to an all new way of being and doing.

If so, you may just find that you emerge from this, Taurean infused, Pluto retrograde with a new sense of resilience and personal power, that enables you to build your life’s dreams on solid, stable foundations.
