New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Libra
In yoga there’s a saying: “If you’re feeling it, you’re doing it.” And in the lead up to the final Eclipse of the year, you might just be feeling quite a bit actually.
Yet the question as to what you’re doing exactly might just end up being the main point of focus during this lunation.
With a conjunction to the South Node, along with the Sun and Mercury, the New Moon/Solar Eclipse at 10º Libra, occurring on October 2nd (7:49pm BST), is asking you to consider as to what aspects of your past - behaviours and relationships especially - require dealing with, in order for you to move forward in life.
As the 5th out of a total of six Eclipses on the Aries-Libra axis since April 2023 - whereby issues around self and other, along with assertion vs passivity, have been heavily brought to the forefront for resolution - this momentary repose in the dark may serve to offer you the opportunity to reflect on how your life has evolved over the course of this journey and ask you to consider where you intend to be by March 2025, when it reaches its conclusion.
Perhaps you may wish to ponder on events or experiences which occurred on or around:
April 20th 2023 - Solar Eclipse 29º Aries
October 14th 2023 - Solar Eclipse 21º Libra
March 25th 2024 - Lunar Eclipse 5º Libra
April 8th 2024 - Solar Eclipse 19º Aries
As the energy of this lunation will be amplified, with a sense of things coming in weeks prior and lingering for weeks after, you may find yourself feeling somewhat restless or emotionally charged, as your subconscious gets stirred, bringing to the surface that which has until now been merely lurking in the shadows. Trust that what is revealed to you is essential information.
Additionally, you may find that relational issues - familial, business, platonic, romantic, or self - intensify as it becomes more apparent where and with whom things are not in balance or alignment. Asking if you have the courage to face conflict head on (North Node in Aries) so that it may be resolved, or if you’d rather avoid it (South Node in Libra), in the hope that your denial will make it go away.
If you find yourself leaning towards the latter, then you may do well to expect a rude awakening, as Mars in Cancer and Jupiter in Gemini aspect Mercury, meaning you may just have to accept that it’s time to deal with the difficult emotions that arise when choosing to have the big conversations required.
Yet beware the impulse to react defensively if your wounds get poked and prodded in the process - this is just your inner child trying to protect itself from what it perceives as a threat to its state of being. And as such - with Mars squaring Chiron in Aries - it might be time to acknowledge you’re no longer in a state of childlike impotency, but are in fact in a position of personal power, capable of moving out of harm’s way.
A fact of which that may prove healing.
In any case, the (Aries) North Node - Neptune (Pisces) conjunction will be sextiling both Uranus Rx in Taurus and Pluto Rx in Capricorn, signalling the imminent ending of a chapter of your being, so as to make space for the next. Consequently, this lunation asks you to clarify where you intend to head on this upcoming leg of your life’s journey, and in turn, acknowledge as to whether there are certain changes required in order for you to be on your way.
Internally or externally, are there things which need to be surrendered and released, ended or transformed, revised or realigned. If so, then this may prove to be an opportune time to make the necessary adjustments.
Especially as Mars, (the ruler of this lunation) Venus in Scorpio, and Saturn in Pisces, will all be activated in a grand trine, further intensifying your desires, when it comes to your long-term goals and aspirations, pushing you to take grounded and intuitive action towards them. Asking, if not now, then when!
Thus, this may well serve to be a potent invitation to plants the seeds that will likely bloom in Spring next year at the Solar Eclipse in Aries (March 29th 2025).
