New Moon in Leo + Mercury Retrograde
If you’ve felt overwhelmed by the energetic intensity of late, then you may find relief during the upcoming New Moon at 12º Leo, occurring on August 4th 2024 (12:12pm BST).
Initiating a new cycle in the sign, the cosmos wants you to put the focus back on yourself, asking, at the heart of it, what is it that has you feeling joyful and fulfilled.
Greeting one another in the sky, the Sun and Moon will make a harmonising sextile to Jupiter conjunct Mars, both in Gemini, encouraging you to self-express in a new, more expansive and creative way.
Asking that you step into your fullness. In every way.
As a result, you may suddenly feel inspired to take a new path, or enrich your understanding of certain matters, so as to grow an already existing idea.
However, if you find that things begin to feel a little challenging at times, then it may be due to retrograde Saturn in Pisces and (a soon to retrograde) Mercury in Virgo conjunct Venus in Leo all making a square to Jupiter-Mars, somewhat quashing your desires in favour of highlighting certain realities.
Such as what - internally and externally - is really impeding your self-expansion. Are there aspects of yourself in need of healing, relationships in need of rebalancing, or patterns of behaviour that need changing.
With Chiron in Aries making a square to retrograde Pluto at 0º Aquarius, any blockages around being true to yourself may become painfully apparent, highlighting the need for self-liberation through the acknowledgement of your worth. Asking that you embody your individuality in the understanding that it is your birthright to exist without constraint.
In addition, with a potent yod at play during this lunation - involving Pluto sextile Neptune at 29º Pisces, both inconjunct Venus-Mercury - it’s time to contemplate what you really want and need in life and release anything that’s getting in the way.
In the aftermath of this lunation, Mercury will station retrograde at 4º Virgo on August 5th, transitioning back to 21º Leo, where it will station direct on August 28th. During which time issues that have arisen during the New Moon will be brought heavily into focus for resolution.
Asking that you take a moment to pause and reflect, before taking action on moving forward.
As such, the past may find its way into the present, offering you an opportunity to deal with it differently, from a new perspective. Allowing you to shift your relationship to what occurred in the past, so as to allow you to step more wholly into the future.
If embraced, by mid-September, when Mercury moves out of its shadow period, you should have the clarity and confidence required to pursue a deeply joyful and fulfilling life.
