Equinox + New Moon in Aries

In the stillness of a moment, as life transitions from one state to another, briefly giving day equal space with night, you are asked to find the centre point and settle there.

The Equinox is a turning point, a shifting of gears, either bringing you into blossoming, or whispering you into retreat.  Regardless, it is offering you the opportunity to pause, rest, and reflect, before you are called to step into the next chapter of your life.

And this particular chapter may just prove to be a BIG one.

On March 20th, emerging from the Piscean womb, the Sun transitions into Aries, initiating the astrological new year and the contractions of labour, as you prepare to birth something altogether new into this world.

The grace at which it enters will be determined solely by your willingness to surrender to the process. Can you accept its gestation’s end and embrace a new phase of its being.

The following day, on March 21st at 5:22pm GMT, the sky will herald its crowning via a New Moon at 0˚ Aries.  Yet, this is only the beginning, the preparatory period, whereby you come to understand the fundamentals of creation. For it is not until April 19th, at the second New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Aries (at 29˚), that the birthing will be truly complete.

Hence the period that lays between is one of significance but additionally, one that may come with some growing pains.

Yet, turning back or slowing down won’t be viable options as with zero planets in retrograde motion, the Universe will be pushing heavily for forward movement.  A fact of which you’ll either embrace or struggle with, depending on how willingly you chose to release your attachment to the past during the Full Moon in Virgo, back on March 7th.

Adding additional momentum to the moment, the Moon, Sun, Mercury, Chiron, and Jupiter will all be situated in Aries during this impending lunation, making life feel as though it’s suddenly going at warp-speed.

Hang on if you can, as this may be a bumpy ride.

Whilst Aries may bring energy and motivation, it also brings the heat and forest fires have been started with less sparks than this lunation is offering, so there is the potential for things to turn volcanic, either internally or externally, depending on how it is utilised or responded to.

So be sure to master your emotions, lest they become the master of you.

Additionally, Mars in Gemini - out of its retrograde shadow and in full force - will be creating a tense square, acting as something of a trigger finger. So if you feel a deep impetus to take action during this time, consider taking a breath before you do so. It might be wise to check in with yourself, to ascertain as to whether it’s instinct or ego, intuition or intellect behind your choices.

Acting from a place of integrity will be key.

The main challenge though, will be whether you can harness this energy in a healthy and productive way, utilising it to initiate positive change. Can you be pro-active in going after what you want, whilst being conscientious of the choices you’re making, as with a trine to Pluto - eking out its last moments in Capricorn - what you pour yourself into during this period will have long-term ramifications, so make sure your chosen vessel can actually stand the test of time and is aligned with your vision.

A slow burn is better than a house fire.

And whilst it’s true that Aries is prone to impulsive behaviour, what it lacks in patience, it more than makes up for in courage, and thus, this New Moon is set to encourage you to fearlessly embody your individuality and step into your personal power.

A feat which will require you to finally recognise your true value in this world.  To understand that it is not for you to prove your worthiness, nor achieve it, but to know that merely your existence is evidence of it.

And in acknowledgement of this, to embolden yourself to step out of the shadows and into the light, in order to live life fully and authentically. Birthing into being a creation which is in alignment with your core values and inner most desires. A manifestation of your true self. One which will be exalted come the New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Aries on April 19th.

So be big, be bold, be brave.
